Sean M. georges
Mr. Georges, a partner in the firm, is a trial lawyer, a former Marine Corps Major, and a Marine Judge Advocate. For 22 years, he served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Shoe Carnival, Inc., a national publicly traded retailer. He has practiced law as a litigator in the areas of insurance defense, business and employment law, representing companies and their insureds, local municipalities and businesses, on a broad array of issues.
He was admitted to the State Bar in Illinois in 1989, the United States Supreme Court in 1993, and the Indiana Bar in 1996. He is a member of the Evansville Bar Association and the Indiana Bar Association and chaired the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum’s Advanced Corporate Counsel Program for 12 years.
A native of Gibson County, Indiana, he is a founding Board Member of Mission First, Inc., a community-based military veteran support non-profit with a mission to serve military veterans, their spouses and family in making a healthy transition to ongoing civilian service and leadership. He is coauthor with Dr. John Buford, PhD, of the recently published book, On Mission: Your Journey to Authentic Leadership, and is a noted leadership speaker and leadership coach/mentor.
